No. They won't even accept it for service even if you are willing to pay.
As far as I was aware an Apple Warranty is worldwide, but maybe it is continental. You can always go on support chat through iTunes to find out for sure.

That is incorrect. The iPhone warranty has never been international. It has always included the clause that service may be restricted to the original country of purchase. You can read all Apple product warranties online here at Apple's web sit
Wrong. The warranty is not international. The only case that it is " continental " is in the case of the EU which Apple treats as one "country ".
