Try a Reboot press & hold power button & menu button hold both down until
You see apple logo this can take 30seconds .
If this doesn't help restore iPad back to factory settings over WiFi

Nov 16, 2015 1:44 PM in response to MaryBeth141by appletinker,If your iPad is saying disabled you will need to have your apple ID password in order to log in. You can go to applied.apple.com and click on reset password if you need to reset the password to your account. You may need the answers to your security questions or access to your email in order to receive the password reset email. I hope this helps!
