MacBook Pro fan running continuously
Fan is very loud - reset print jobs and I still have an issue. Does this have something to do with having a SSD?
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)

Have you tried resetting SMC?
Reset SMC.
Choose the method for “On Mac notebooks with non-removable battery”.

Best.
The fan(s) will run fast if the MBP is producing heat that needs to be dissipated. If the SMC reset does not solve your problem, install a temperature/fan speed application. Open Activity Monitor to ALL PROCESSES and set CPU to display values from high to low. When the fans get loud, open both applications and post screen shots of both for evaluation.
Ciao.

SSD if anything will run much cooler compared to a spinning platter HD. This is not your issue.
If your Mac is on the fans are running, minimum ~2000rpm
the max is ~6000rpm (and sounds like a jet plane.)
Try this little app and see if you can regain control of the fan.
Works very well for me after I replaced my Mac Mini's HDD with an SSD and I lost the fan control/
