When I migrated from iPhotos to Photos, I lost all the albums and faces tags.

When I migrated from iPhotos to Photos, none of the name tags on Faces were kept. Also, none of the albums has been kept intact. Some of the titles of the albums are there, but no photos are in the file. I'm still trying to determine if all the photos actually migrated over. I'm on MacBook Air OS X El Capitan version 10.11.1. I also have a MacBook Pro running the same OS.

Is there anyway to recover the faces tags and/or albums?

How did you migrate from iPhoto to Photos?

If you opened the iphoto Library in Photos the Faces takes should have been kept, also your albums:

If Photos did not migrate your iPhoto Library correctly, I would rebuild the iPhoto Library in iPhoto and then repeat the migration to Photos. Did you update iPhoto to iPhoto 9.6.1, so you can run iPhoto on El Capitan?
