Q: Need Update for Old MacBook

I have and old MacBook and I need to update it but having trouble figuring out what the next step is that I have to take.

Its running Snow leopard right now and I am unable to use my new iPhone

    The OWC or Mac-sales.com web site has good instructions for upgrading RAM.  You are not specific about your year and exact sub model MacBook so can't tell if it is even possible to run OSX 10.8.5 or higher required to install the newest iTunes.  You can look up OSX upgrade possibilities by tracking down your exact model computer and specifications on the everymac.com web site.
