How do I change the year on my iPad 2? I can change the month and day but the year doesn't appear. I checked on an iPad mini and an iPhone and I can't do it on those either. All have iOS 9.
Help this *******?? It would be greatly appreciated!

If you're trying to create an appointment in your calendar for some distant year (e.g., 2017), then simply switch to month view in calendar, scroll forward to that month, and then add the appointment when the appropriate day is highlighted.
Settings/General/Date and Time
THose are the steps I'm using in an attempt to change the year. It allows me to change everything but the year. I've searched the web, but my iPad does not follow the steps the web does. There just isn't a year. I have iOS 9 on my device.
Why do you want to change the year?
It should be set automatically.
TThanks for trying, but the thread you supplied followed the same steps as all the others. I am totally stumped and have no idea why I don't find the option to change the year.
I Want to install an emulator on the iPad and it won't allow me to do so until the year is changed to 2012. After installing the emulator, I will change back to the current year.

What happens if you select "Set Automatically?"
Hacking is not supported.

And exactly which emulator are you trying to install? Is it available in the App Store? If not, then you are clearly jailbroken since I personally know of no emulators in the App Store, let alone, those which require you to manually set the date to 2012 to install it.
As was mentioned, if you're trying to get help here and you're jailbroken, you won't get it here. Try Google instead.
Listen to the advice already given. Emulators like vshare exploit a gltch discovered by a app deveolper. He was banned and the change the date routine is to bring your iPad back to before he was banned. Don't download apps from the web. When something goes wrong, which it will, we can't help you.
