iPod 6th generation doesn't recognize "skip when shuffling"

Hello,

My 6th generation touch doesn't recognize the "skip when shuffling" feature (Track Info- Options) in iTunes 12.3.1.23. I'm running iPod version 9.1 on El Capitan.

Do you think it has something to do with the fact that I just replaced my old iPod (from 2006) that just died? The "skip when shuffling" feature worked on the old iPod. The "skip when shuffling" option, however, is still available in iTunes today, so I don't know why it's not working...
