I would say no. However, if the replace is a non-Apple storage them maybe yes.

    The general opinion historically has been if you do an upgrade and do not cause any physical damage then you are ok. This therefore means on Mac models that allow it memory upgrades are 'allowed' and historically has also been considered to cover hard drive upgrades.

     

    As you are referring to the new Mac Pro model you should be aware that the SSD in it uses a proprietary connector. As such standard M2 type SSD drives will not fit/work. So far the only third-party SSD upgrade I have seen that would work is as follows.

    I can buy an original Apple 512GB PCI-e based flash storage, to upgrade my original 256GB. Will I keep my "2 years left" MAC PRO warranty? (of course... I mean the MAC PRO Late 2013 hardware warranty... but not the changed storage...).
