my laptop overheats really badly

I would suggest buying a desktop cooler fan that rests beneath the computer. I do a lot of videos and have to leave my MacBookPro running all night processing videos. In the summer time, especially, the fan helps a lot. They are available at Best Buy or on the Internet for a reasonable cost. Mine has two fans in it. Noisy, but helpful. My wife thought my computer was ready to blow up when she heard the noise, and we got a good laugh when I told her the simple fix was to pull the plug on the fan if it bothered her.
