Got this message when I was looking to see if there was a reply to a question I had posted: Access to this place or content is restricted. If you think this is a mistake, please contact your administrator or the person who directed you here.

Those messages can appear for a number of reasons, such as not being logged in to this site. You can find the questions you created, Discussions in which you participate, or otherwise "follow" by clicking My Subscriptions above.
I am logged in. I got here by clicking on Activity. I don't see My Subscriptions anywhere above, but when I click on the link in your reply, it takes me to a page with the same message. The post I was looking for did not appear under Activity.

And, My Subscriptions should be just to the left of where you found the link for Activity.

I don't believe the General Forum members have a my subscriptions link at the top of the page. They don't have the My Subscriptions Lounge members have. Methinks they have Manage subscriptions in preferences. I would just go to Content at the top of the page then authord on the left for past posts.

That particular message usually indicates that the post has been hidden from view by the moderators for some breach of the terms of use. You may find the following links useful. The first three highlight threads that have new activity since you last viewed them.

Oh dear! Can't imagine what I did. I thought I followed the instructions correctly. My post still appears on a web search, but when I click on it, that's when I get the unauthorized message.
It seems that thread has been removed for some reason. If the thread violated a TOS for the forum and was removed, you would have received an email from the hosts. The link that I provided is your second posting, that is the only one that still exists.
"Manage Subscriptions" seems to be a redundancy disguised as a "Feature" = you could always 'manage' your stuff
- I do so the old way from Browser Bookmarks I have had since before the introduction of the feature
- the only place I find the "New Feature" link is this:
On "Your Activity" page you then choose on of the [TABS] to "manage"
- the only difference with the new "way" is adding a "parameter" to the old URL = "...?manage=true"
If I had to make a wild guess (since your issue and possible content in your post seems genuinely innocent) - I would say that your thread became collateral damage in SPAM threads removal. With that process, some Level 2 or above user see an obvious SPAM thread in a forum list - then clicks on a "Gear [Action] Tool" beside the line item - then chooses SPAM from a list of topics. It seems easy to "pick the wrong Gear" if one was not careful. I am not sure how much scrutiny the Host(s) give to the actual content of the the thread when it is reported as SPAM.
All in all, it seems your BBoD issue is resolved = GREAT!

It is my understanding that SPAM threads are 'unceremoniously' removed = no email notice (that would 'tip off' the SPAMmer to methods and means)
Two things.
You don't get My Subscriptions unyil you're Level 6. It's just a different way to format your stuff. It's no big loss.
I can still see your post. Tap your name in blue on this page. Then Content, Authored, and finally the post itself.
Unfortunately, I cannot receive email as I inadvertently left out a letter in my email address when I created the Apple ID for this forum. I am not able to log in with my present Apple ID, nor have I found any way to correct this.
