Q: Constant Freezing of my inactive screen on my new MB Pro

Replaced my 2012 MB Air on November 6, 2015 with a MB Pro 15" /2.5GHZ 16GB/512 GB USA and the MS Office Rental at Best Buy.  Unit exhibits a blurred background screen at logon, it also freezes up going black when top is left open for an extended period of time.  When holding the power key down for approx 6 seconds the unit powers off.  It powers up OK when the power button is pushed but I get a dialog box message saying I shutdown the unit because of a problem.  Not true!  The unit shut itself down.  Lastly, for now, The new unit will not let me create a photobook with a message that the Photo Library is unavailable or it's data is corrupt.

 

Has anyone experienced these problems with a MB Pro purchased from Best Buy?  It was $100 cheaper than buying the same unit from Apple.
