Q: iCloud backup email receiving mail instead of Apple ID email

I am waiting to receive an email (sending an iTunes gift card bought online that I need in a few hours at the latest) on my iCloud email. However, whichever device I try to use (iPad Air, MacBook Air, and iPhone 5c) to access the email, it is always trying to receive emails to my backup email instead of my Apple ID email, which naturally I sent the iTunes card to. I've tested both emails and my Apple ID one just isn't receiving, or if it is, I'm unable to access it. Is there any way I can resend the card to the Apple ID email address without paying for it again or changing the email used on my iCloud profile to my actual email instead of a backup?

Thanks in advance for your quick response/s.

iPhone 5c, iOS 9.1, null

    Howdy pjb@bettsy.com.au,

It sounds like you purchased an iTunes gift online and are waiting for the gift email for redemption. If it was an actual gift card I would expect it to be coming through regular mail.

You can resend an iTunes (online) gift even to a different email address.

Resend iTunes Gifts - Apple Support

Please see the article for complete details but note it says, "You can edit or change the recipient email address for your iTunes Gift as long as your recipient hasn't redeemed your gift. To edit or change the recipient's email address, tap their email address on the Gift detail screen."

    Take care.
