Q: icloud.com storage almost full
A few weeks ago I started receiving a "Your iCloud storage is almost full" message in the browser using icloud.com. I suspect it's from an old i-somedevice backup. What worries me a bit is the message says "If you run out of storage...data will no longer be updated." I use icloud to sync contacts and calendars between multiple devices. I want to make sure data continues to sync. I've physically checked all devices that show up under "My Devices" under iCloud Settings and none have the icloud backup option on.
Is this something I need to worry about? If the current (almost) 5-GB storage is old, will it get recycled as space is needed?
More importantly, how can I tell what device is eating up the data, if any? I don't see any options on the iclould.com Settings page to see details except that most storage is taken by "Backup" - long yellow line.
Any advise is greatly appreciated.

You can see which devices have backups and how much space they are taking. From an iOS device, go to Settings > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage and that will list backups for all iOS devices as well as details of other storage used. You can delete a backup from that screen as well.
If you no longer have an iOS device, you will need either a PC with iCloud for Windows or a Mac. The following has more details: Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support
