Telephone numbers follow a specific international format ( Country Code-Area Code-District/State/Area-Phone Number) you can't change this format because you would always get a dial format error.

Nov 17, 2015 2:40 PM in response to Mobile Bluesby gerti45,Thank you very much for your response. I just realized that my question is misleading. It doesn't concert an iPod, iPad or iPhone. I have an iMac and a MacBook Pro and would like to have the telephone number format set to, e.g., (XXX) XXX-XXX. Right now, they are all scrunched together like this XXXXXXXXXX. I used to be able to set up the format in Preferences in MobileMe directly. Doesn't iCloud have that option anymore? Can you set the parameters only when you first set up the computer? My computer is set to language English and region USA. I set my computer to German occasionally because I am a German translator. But that never seemed to have made any difference in the past. Again, thank you for your help.
