SSD filepath has number automatically added it the end

Hey I just got a new SanDisk Extreme Pro 240GB SSD and a USB 3.0 dock

I have set my media cache in Premiere to this new drive and all is working well.

After ejecting and re-mounting the drive, it now shows up with a " 1" added to the end. Premiere won't automatically link to it's cache because of this. When I eject and mount again, it has now changed from a " 1" to a " 2" on the end.

Any idea how to stop this?

iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2011)

2.8 GHz Intel Core i7

12 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Macintosh HD.

AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB

the USB dock is an iCAN USB 3
