I Need to screenshot things to insert into notability while I'm in class, and this iPad won't shut up. People think I'm taking pictures in class/library. This is incredibly frustrating. I don't understand the removal of the quiet button.
Plug in a pair of headphones into the headphone jack.
The ability to mute is based on where the device was sold, not where you are now - so if it was bought in a country where cameras aren't allowed to be muted you won't be able to mute it
A great idea, it don't mute it fully but a little bit lighter than the regular sound.
I use notability and I have noticed that if I am taking a pic in the app the headphones doesn't change anythin..
if u have an idea for that as well I would love to hear(I use this app for studying and hoping not bother everyon)

Iuse the iPad in Israel and it is allowed here to take pics on mute..

I bought my iPad Pro in Korea. Turning the notification mute does not work. Muting is not allowed in Korea?
Possibly not, you could try doing a search for whether it is or isn't
Just push the volume button down until its on silent....
Turning notification mute on via Control Centre (swipe up from the bottom edge of the iPad) might mute it - if using the camera then not all countries allow the shutter to be muted.
I'll try this, just muting the volume didn't work, not very good at 5am when everyone else is asleep.....😁
