Q: beat sports app is frozen downloading

I purchased the beat sports app for Apple TV and about a week ago the app started to download an update and it has been stuck in the download mode since.  It shows about 1/4 of the way progress.

 

is there a way to delete the app and then reinstall?

    Locate the app and try a long press on the touch surface, the app should start jiggling and a message should tell you press the play/pause button to delete. Of course that might not work with stalled downloads. You could also try Settings > General > Manage Storage. Or if that doesn't work, Settings > System > Reset > Restore.

    same thing for me. deleted the app - it gets stuck. restarted Apple TV, it gets stuck. restarted the app by double pressing home, swiping up to close beats sport, reopen, then it gets stuck

    I found the fix from Harmonix a couple days ago, as posted on beatsports facebook site.

     

    delete the app and then reinstall.  once you reinstall wait at least 10 minutes before launching the app.  It sounds like this may not work for all but it worked for me.

     

    They claim they are working on an update to fix the issue.
