Zoom and Timeline with Mouse

I have been using Adobe Audition and I want to switch to GarageBand. In Audition a vertical scroll on a magic mouse zooms and a horizontal scroll moves me across the timeline. It is extremely intuitive and makes editing a breeze. Is there anyway to do this with the mouse in Garageband?

There is a difference of intuitive and useful.

Scroll vertically on a mouse will scroll vertically on the window - scroll horizontally on a mouse will scroll horizontally on the window. That, I would intuitive.

If one direction scrolls and the other direction zooms, then that is not intuitive and you have to remember when it does what. However, once you remember that, then it might become useful.

In GarageBand, the scrolling is intuitive. If you want to zoom instead of scrolling, you hold down the option key (horizontally only).

In GarageBand's Tracks Window, you can zoom only horizontally, but not vertically, becasue it has an auto-zoom feature for the track height.

Hope that helps
