Macbook pro battery 'not charging'

I have an as-good-as-new Macbook Pro 13 inch, with only 50 charging cycles.

However, it doesn't charge any more; when I plug in the magsafe adapter is says that the 'battery is not charging'. I can use the macbook when it is connected to the charger, since the battery doesn't drain when I use it. But, it also doesn't charge.

I already tried resetting the SMC and PRAM with no success. I also tried another charger from a friend, but that didn't do the trick as well and I also tried my charger on his macbook, and it worked perfectly.

What else can I do to so my macbook will charge again?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)

I don't know if I should make a separate post but you sound like you know what you're talking about and the basic query is the same. My computer usually is between 95-100% charged, always on, always plugged in. This morning it was at 83%. Yellow light on my power cord thing. Percentage wasn't getting any higher or lower. I unplugged for a while, down to 76% and plugged it back in; half an hour and it sits at 75%. Pulling up the info you mentioned above, it says it is charging. But it doesn't appear to be going anywhere ... MacBook Pro, fall 2011. Any thoughts? TIA.
