Your MBP is not recognizing your charger. My guess is that there may be problems with the DC input board. This is a hardware problem that best can be defined at an Apple store genius bar. Make an appointment for a FREE evaluation.

I don't know if I should make a separate post but you sound like you know what you're talking about and the basic query is the same. My computer usually is between 95-100% charged, always on, always plugged in. This morning it was at 83%. Yellow light on my power cord thing. Percentage wasn't getting any higher or lower. I unplugged for a while, down to 76% and plugged it back in; half an hour and it sits at 75%. Pulling up the info you mentioned above, it says it is charging. But it doesn't appear to be going anywhere ... MacBook Pro, fall 2011. Any thoughts? TIA.

Thank you! Green light and 99% charged now. Yes, I do believe it is the original battery. Mac has gone in twice for the 2011 MBP video problem, but I don't believe swapping out the battery was one of the things they did for that.
