Broken iPad

How to delete my internal memory on iPad AirModel A1556?

My iPad got crushed. The screen is busted but looks like it will get power. I would like to make sure my internal memory is transfered and deleted. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Hi there dkdresser11,

It sounds like you need to get your data off your iPad and erase your data from it. I'm sorry to hear about what happened to it. First I would back up the iPad to iTunes:

Make a backup using iTunes

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203977

Then use this article to erase everything back to factory settings:

Use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

It is possible that it may be damaged to the point that the connection with the computer doesn't work. If that is the case you may also be able to erase the device using www.icloud.com if it is able to get online:

iCloud: Erase your device
