carplay not connecting on GMC Yukon

I had similar issue. I held down the power button down to fully shut off. Powered back up and it works now. Also the HD radio wasn’t working now it is.

I started having issues intermittently. Finally, I had to disable bluetooth connection to my phone and CarPlay works like a charm...I just have to always be plugged in with the USB to take calls and play music.

I have a 2017 GMC Acadia and my car won't launch CarPlay anymore.

It just says 'please connect a supported device'. I've changed cables, phones, updated the iOS, restarted car/phone, reset infotainment settings, but nothing seems to work.

Is there anything that fixed this problem for you?

I have a 2017 GMC Acadia and I'm experiencing a similar issue. For the first month or so the connection worked flawlessly. Now it doesn't work at all. I have tried with several iPhones and several cables, nothing works.

I have the same issue. Acadia 2017. Took the car back to the dealer and they updated the software but said this did not fix the issue and they were unable to fix it. Has anyone managed to find a fix? Has there been any official communication from Apple? I chose this car over others because it had Apple CarPlay and I feel cheated that had only worked for a month. Apple is equally responsible to liaise with GM to find a fix. Please let me know if anything has worked for you.

I have a 2017 Acadia Denali. CarPlay seemed to work fine first few months with iPhone 6. a couple upgrades and it started disconnecting and couldn't get it back. I have to manually go into the "manage CarPlay" on the car interface to connect now?? I purchased the iPhone X hoping also that it would be better but getting worse. Ive reset radio, disconnected and reconnected CarPlay device connection, tried multiple cords... and still no improvement. checked software version on GMC radio and says current! Very frustrating and since CarPlay with bluetooth doesn't support maps, I prefer using cord. trying to find fix.

Wow, they had to replace your whole stereo?! I also have a 2017 GMC Acadia, same issue as you, and the dealership mentioned a software issue between Apple CarPlay and GMC where CarPlay stops working after being used after "x" amount of times (I think 1,124 or something random like that). I brought mine in to my dealership's service department for a software update and now my CarPlay works like new. I hope the replacement works for you!

I drive a 2016 Yukon XL that is 6 months old. I had a similar problem with the ApplePlay working intermittently. Dealership replaces the Human Interface module and now the parallel ports. Looking here for solution, so hopefully replacing hardware works.

When I connect my iPhone to use the maps (haven't tried other apps, just maps) touching the Carplay icon does not respond unless my radio is on. If my radio is off, when I turn my radio on then Carplay will work. Makes no sense, but that's my work-around. 2017 Acadia.

I have the same problem as well. Worked for a month out of no where stopped. Were you able to resolve it??

I took the car to my dealer and they could not fix it. They are ordering a whole new stereo system for the car!!

Same with my 2017 acadia. Carplay nit working anymore. They also wanted me to check my onstar subscription. Does that have anything to do with it?
