Q: apple pay australia

Ok so I got a little excited about Apple Pay starting in Australia tomorrow.

I want to know how long I will have to wait for Visa Australia or Local banks to get on board with "the future"

I called my bank and was told, its between Visa Aust and Apple, so called Visa and was told to call my bank.... Frustrating yes.

Does anyone know how long this might be, or should I just go and get an Amex card?
