Q: Possible choices in backup ingredients

I understand that you would like to only back up certain items that are on your iPhone. Let's go over your options on how to do that.

I you are using iCloud to back up your iPhone, you can back up just those items. Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage and then click on your iPhone, you will see the options for items that are backed up. Just turn off the ones you don't want and you are good to go. Take a look at the first two articles to go over managing your iCloud storage and how to back up to shed some light on this question.

Now if you use iTunes, you won't have those options as it will back up your iPhone as a whole minus a few details that are explained in the next article.
