What is safari tree filter?

My son's laptop has a file folder "Safari tree filter". I have Norton family security on the laptop. Is this something he added to get around the parental software?

iPad, iOS 7.1

I don't know, but a Mac cannot be expected to operate properly with Norton / Symantec garbage installed. Remove it according to its instructions.

One or more of the following may be applicable:

Uninstall Norton Internet Security for Mac

Removing Symantec programs for Macintosh by using the RemoveSymantecMacFiles removal utility

RemoveSymantecMacFiles

Back up your Mac prior to making any changes to its file system. To learn how to use Time Machine read Mac Basics: Time Machine backs up your Mac - Apple Support.

To configure parental controls on a Mac, please read the following: OS X El Capitan: Set up parental controls. If you are using a different version of OS X, please write back.
