Nov 18, 2015 2:57 PM in response to bgfromst. louisby John Galt,I strongly recommend avoiding anything other than an AirPrint printer. Please read About AirPrint - Apple Support.
I have used and can recommend AirPrint compatible Brother printers and multifunction devices over those of other manufacturers. Canon is a good second choice. Epson is a very distant third choice. Other manufacturers of consumer grade printers are simply not worth considering.

Nov 18, 2015 2:57 PM in response to bgfromst. louisby sberman,Make sure you buy a printer that is supported by AirPrint.
About AirPrint - Apple Support
There are two main reasons to do this:
1. Apple will detect this printer and provide you with the latest printer drivers for it.
2. Should you have an iOS device (e.g., iPhone, iPad), it will be able to print to this printer.
The supported printers are listed in the above article.
