I downloaded a movie. Minions. It is a 42 GB BDMV file.
I am trying to watch it on VLC or MacGo Blu Ray player but the English audio Channel is Dolby ATMOS and is not working well, the other languages work fine. I have search the web for a solution but didn't find.
Is there a way to watch movies with dolby ATMOS audio on Mac OS X?

i have the same problem , how do i bitstream atoms to my system via my mac mini
sound on VLC app with audio track atoms sound is no continue .

VLC has not had an official upgrade for quite some time and sadly the developers behind it also seem to be poor at fixing issues, I for example reported a subtitles issue and that ticket was opened two years ago and still has not been fixed. (That issue has been reproduced by others, a sample file has been submitted and I have found that particular issue does not occur in MPlayerX.)
There are two other video playback projects that might give better results these being Plex and KodiTV. I would particularly suggest looking at KodiTV.
Atmos being one of the "Hi-Res" formats will likely require special licensed
codecs (read purchase required) and additionally video/audio chips that have
the correct protected video/audio paths. This is true for TrueHD and DTS Master Audio.

This is a limitation of Mac OSX.
Mac OSX will never output Dolby TrueHD, Atmos, and even DTS-MA. However, The integrated IntelHD Graphics card is capable of decoding TrueHD, Atmos, and DTS-MA, this works with Kodi v16 & v17 on Windows 7 on a Macbook Pro 2011 via Bootcamp.
If enough people send Apple enhancement requests either via http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html or by signing up for the macOS Sierra public beta here https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/ and sending a feedback via that, then maybe Apple will listen and do something about this.
