Q: Obtaining all my photos back on iphoto?

Hi,

I just downloaded OS X Yosemite due to the face that I was trying to airdrop a video from my ipad to my macbook. In result, I lost my iphoto and was not aware of this. Is there a way I could obtain all my pictures that were on iphoto again? If not, is there a way I can undo my recent update?

Please help!

Mac OS X 10.10.3 and newer include Photos, which is intended as a replacement for iPhoto. If you'd like to go on using iPhoto in addition to or instead of switching to Photos, click here and try following the instructions; you'll only be able to do so if you previously got iPhoto from or associated it with the Mac App Store.

Unless something went wrong during the upgrade, you’ll be able to access your library in either Photos, or if applicable, a compatible version of iPhoto. In any case, you should back your data up; all drives will eventually fail.
