Q: Apple Sports Band getting sticky?

Hey all,

I have the original black sports band that came with my Apple watch. I've had the watch for about 3 months and notice that it is becoming more sticky. The color is not as uniform and there are spots where it looks greasy. Washing with soap and water won't help. I know others have had peeling issue, but this isn't healing.

Anyone else having this issue?

Hi

Apple's instructions for cleaning your band are:
- Wipe down the band with a recommended cloth (nonabrasive and lint-free). If necessary, you can lightly dampen the cloth with fresh water.
- Dry the band with a recommended cloth.

Contact Apple Support (mail-in service may be available) or make a Genius Bar reservation with a view to having your band checked under warranty.
