Unable to text since updating. Some contacts turn red and I am unable to send.
I am unable to send text messages to some of my contacts since updating. When I choose a name it turns red and I can't send the message.

Remember the iPad is not a cellular telephone. It has no capability to send or receive SMS text messages. You can combine the iPad with your iPhone to do so as described in the "SMS" section here:
