Q: iphone 4 - data card only but no data only can msg

I have an iphone 4 which has an Optus datacard that is connected to my main phone (data sharing) my son can msg but cannot Access data. We have similar setup with iphone 5 and no issues. Optus advises that the card/plan is setup correctly have tried many things from resets to power off. Any ideas?

Hello Sharon,

Sorry to hear that your sons iPhone 4 is having issues using cellular data. Let's see if we can get it sorted out.

If you have not done so already, take a look at the article below for issues with getting your iPhone to connect to the internet using cellular data. One of the big things to try is to reset the network settings on the iPhone to see if that clears this up.
