Text message from Apple. Is it a Scam?

Yes, any such message will be a scam.

Yes. Ignore it. If you want to check on your Apple ID go to http://appleid.apple.com . Never follow links or phone numbers in pop-ups or text messages. Genuine emails from Apple will always come from the apple.com domain (though this can be forged) and will address you by name, not 'Dear Customer' or similar.

I just received a text message with the same response. I put in my Apple ID thinking it was Apple and put in my password and then i asked me to change my keychain and provide info. Once I saw it said to provide certain information, I realized it was a scam and changed my keychain, password, security questions and everything to make sure I was safely protected.

I wasn't on an iPhone 6 like you, I was on an iPhone 4 with older system.
