Macbook Air is not booting after update

I updated my Macbook Air to El Captain yesterday and it was working normally until today when i did a second update and now it doesn't boot. i.e. there is no display and nothing seems to be happening. All i can hear is the fan noise but no display shows up.

- Safe mode doesn't work. Nothing happens when i press the shift key after restart.

- Holding down the power button just restarts the fan noise. Nothing else happens.

- Single User mode doesn't work

- SMC reset doesn't work either

What do i do ?

I understand that you are experiencing what seems to be a startup issue on your Mac. I know these types of situations can be very frustrating and you have already completed a lot of good troubleshooting.

To continue the troubleshooting process, I would suggest reading over and working through the steps outlined in the following article.
