Q: Front camera sound not working/or Siri on iPhone 6

My front camera ('selfie' mode) doesn't seem to be recording sound when I record a video, the back camera works fine, records sound perfectly.. I also can't seem to use Siri either. I used the front camera in SnapChat and it recorded the sound fine, so I'm confused - any ideas why the microphone isn't working when using the front camera? Or why Siri isn't picking up my voice either?
