Q: Moving from Iphoto to Photos on Maverick 10.9.5

Will I lose my old Iphoto calendars when moving from Iphoto to Photos? Do I have to update OX before I do that?

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

and yes you have to upgrade to El Captain to have photos

Hi Larry,

thanks for your answer. It is a pity we can not be sure about not losing the calendars done on IPhoto. But two more questions for you:

1) Will Iphoto migrate automatically to photos when I proceed with the upgrade to EL CAPITAN?
2) Am I right to understand that I will then have access to my pictures through photos but also through the old Iphoto?
