Q: NetInstall on OSX10 - clients can't find images

Good Morning,

I have a newly created image, saved in the appropriate folder under Library/NetBoot/NetBootSP0 but the clients can't see the image. I have no specific filtering turned on in the netinstall portion.

Below is the NetInstall Log from my server:

The log is just the portion in the Preferences/Startup disk when you select my image, but then it will not boot up from it and it will not display any logs either.

I have my server and the clients in the same subnet. I also checked with the networking team who assured me they turned on DHCP snooping to allow this traffic.

Does anyone have any clue where else can I check?

Make sure for each image under the NetInstall service, you select NFS under Make Available over. The default is HTTP.

Select the image in the list of images then click the wheel underneath to Edit Image Settings. You will find the Make Available over option there.

thanks for the information Keg55. as it turned out, I had NFS available but there was some sort of block in the network port the networking guys were able to modified.
