Q: how do i download outlook 2016 contacts from icloud for windows 10?

just got a surface pro 3, 256, 5 processor.

I have outlook 2016

emails, folders are all in place and working.

contacts were missing.

I have icloud and found my contacts there.

any ideas of how to get my contacts into my outlook contacts?

there are zero contacts in my outlook right now.

Just to update my previous post, iCloud for Windows has been updated to include compatibility with Outlook 2016.  To download it you can either use the Apple Software Update program, or download it from the website below.

    Hey there josephowp,

     

    I see you're wondering about getting your contacts from iCloud to Outlook 2016.  Currently iCloud for Windows does not support Outlook 2016, however an update is coming out soon which will add the compatibility.  To learn more please take a look at the information below:

     

    iCloud for Windows currently supports Outlook 2007 through Outlook 2013. Support for Outlook 2016 will be available in an updated release soon. If you use Outlook 2016, you can access iCloud Mail, Contacts, and Calendars on iCloud.com.

    Icloud 5.1  for Windows using Office 2016 now installs ok and copies down the current calendar and contacts in ICloud but it does not sync between contacts or calendar

     

    So this has not been solved, its just looks like it has been until you try and use it.

     

    I have two Windows 10 Machines running Outlook 20-16 and they both have the identical problem.

     

    This is an appalling piece  of software and always has been

     

    Apple need to look at the competency of the development team responsible for ICloud for Windows

    I have it working fine on a Windows 10 laptop, but no luck on Windows 7, both using Outlook 2016 through the same Office 365 subscription.

     

    It's all a mess because the system requirements page says click-to-run installations aren't supported, which includes Office 365, but it clearly works because its working on my laptop. It's just unbelievable that something as simple as an add-in cause such a prolonged headache.

     

    And yes it has always been bad. It's almost caused as much trouble as windows update! and that's saying something...
