I Have a late 2013 iMac and suddenly my keyboard and mouse failed to function. I then noticed my Bluetooth symbol on my top bar had a line through it. I have tried all the obvious solutions and have been recommended to take it into an Apple Store. Do they just replace the Bluetooth hardware or is there anything else I can manage to do?

Sadly no. I really thought iMacs were pretty indestructible. Thanks for your help.
Take it to Apple. They will tell you the cost to repair it. Once you know that then you will be able to decide what you want to do.
