"Show Reference File in Finder," is greyed out.

OSX Yosemite 10.10.5 MBPro

I'd like to continue using PhotoShop for my editing, but cannot access my photos. "Show Reference File in Finder," is greyed out, and I no longer see the "Original" or "Modified" folders in the Finder. Should I institute a workflow of exporting photos from Photo to another folder to use with PhotoShop, or is there another workflow that is better?

[I tried to follow the reply from Leoni in this string Reference Files missing but the Ignore Ownership line does not appear in the Info panel, and as I already noted, the Masters and Modified folders are not showing in Finder]. And just to make things interesting, I'm working out of town and cannot do a backup/restore to an external disk until I get back home.

Thanks for any thoughts,

~carol

That indicates that you do not have a referenced library which is a good thing since referenced libraries are a major problem and are strongly not recommended

to access your photos you do not direct access them (and never should have) - you use the provided tools and either access using the media browser in the open window or you export from Photos to a desktop folder and use from there

OK, thank you Larry!

The Export and Save in another folder is what I'm doing, and I'm fine with that. But could you please elaborate on the "media browser in the open window" method? Are you referring to Photos app or PhotoShop? I did a search of the term in both applications and did not find anything useful.
