How do I change an iTunes user to upgrade apps in the phone?a

theres a different user logged in and I can't upgrade my apps. How do I change that user, the only options are try again or cancel.. There isn't a change user option...

From your question, it sounds like there is an Apple ID currently signed in on your iPhone that is different than the one that was used to originally download your applications and now you are unable to update them because of this.


If this is the case, you will need to sign out of the current Apple ID on the iPhone and sign in with the one that was used to download these applications originally. This process can be found in the following article.


iTunes, iBooks, and App Store

  1. Tap Settings > iTunes & App Store.
  2. Tap your Apple ID. If you see the option to Sign In, you can change your Apple ID now.

  4. Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store.
  5. Enter your Apple ID and password, then tap Sign In.
