Q: Having difficulty: Apple TV connecting to my iMac

Apple TV 3 + iMac connected via ethernet.  the set-up has always worked before when connecting viewing my iMac Library on my TV.  Today, I can stream all the video I want without difficulty, but cannot get the Apple TV to recognize my computer.  Same log-in on both pieces; latest software upgrade on the Apple TV.  iTunes 11.4 is open.  Home Sharing is turned on.    But, still get the message from Apple TV "Turn on Home Sharing in iTunes".  Need some guidance here as to how to again connect as it has previously.

iMac G5, Mac OS X (10.3.9), Safari 1.3.2

Please disregard the 10.3.9 and 1.3.2 at the bottom of my post.  I don't know where those came from.  Thnx

Be sure to update and run the latest version of iTunes

    Reboot ATV, computer, router

Ensure proper ports (3689, 5353) are open on router (refer to manual if unsure)

Well, I figured it out!  An AT&T technician equipped me with a "powerline ethernet bridge" such that my Apple TV 3 was connected to my computer over my inside power lines.  This was supposed to help avoid problems with my wireless.  HOWEVER, it obviously did just the opposite.  As a 'last resort', I removed the 'bridge' and went back to straight wireless and everything now works just fine.  Thank you vazandrew for your advice, but it turned out there appeared to be a simpler solution (although I did what you suggested).
