I downloaded iBooks Author but most of the features appear to be unavailable. For example, from the widgets icon I only have four options available; gallery, media, pop-over and html. Similarly, from the inspector icon most features appear to be disabled, most importantly - wrap.
Has anyone experienced this or know how I can fix this?

the features that you speak of (widgets) are present dependent on the type of template that you choose. you chose epub, which does not support all of the traditional widgets.
i wish that wasn't the case.
