my ipod tuch screen went black

i need to back it up but i cant log in to it cuz my screen is black and no i did not steal it but its been in a droor for a fuw yers my xgf brok it on me and now i go to plug it in and it telling me my full name lol thats how ik its mine and on top of that it wont pop up in the itunes but it will say the ipod tuch jarrid a.... is locked and needs to be unlocked to conekt to itunes sooo what do i do and no i do not want to rest it cuz that would beet the point of this all i just want my pics and vidoes off it thats all

You have to connect the iPod to your computer and restore via iTunes., It is not what yo want but is what has to be done. Yes, the iPod will be erased.


Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

To restore from backup see:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple SupportIf you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
