ipad pro workflow for teaching and file managers

Hello,

I'd offer everybody my somewhat confused afternoon greeting,

that's the best I can mange at the time!

I am trying to use an ipad pro for teaching ( currently testing on ipad 3, with previous experience on mcbook air 11")

I need to be able to scan students' contribution ( class work, group prep or " brainstorming activities " ) then turn it into pdf

and know where to open that pdf quickly

so far I use "docscan hd", which saves as pdf , enables me to highlight or underline good or poor passages, cross, circle or underline words

I then open it in "documents" or " I annotate " to include a text box with commenting and mark.

so far I use docscan hd, which saves as pdf , enables me to highlight or underline goood or poor passages, cross, circle or underline words

I then open it in “documents” or “I annotate “ to include a text box with commenting and mark.

I sometimes use "audio note" to include voice comment.

So far so good. Where I am at a loss is

how to find all pdfs files and other ( not picture or sound ) files on my ipad in one place.

also how to find a wordprocessing tool with an " open" or " save as " option in the file menu.

Thanks for your thoughts and suggestions as to workflow, apps etc

MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

ios doesn't have a file manager. It's up to you to organize you work by applications. Suggest you put all your pdf files in one app.

GoodReader

-- With GoodReader on your iPad/iPhone, you can read virtually anything, anywhere: books, movies, maps, pictures.

-- sync with Dropbox, OneDrive, SugarSync and any WebDAV, AFP, SMB, FTP or SFTP server

-- The types of annotations that can be created and edited in GoodReader include typewriter text boxes, popup comments ("sticky notes"), text highlights, freehand drawings, lines, arrows, rectangles, ovals, cloudy shapes, text underlines, strikeouts, text insertion marks.

I do not know if spotlight has been enhanced to look in applications, but you could try a search.

Are we talking about your laptop. There is a "fix" to get "save as" to reappear. I've made the change. Now I have to remember what web site provided the simplest change.

Apple put in a well hidden option to turn save as… back on.

one important thing to note you must use the ellipsis, three dot, character … not three periods in a row. You should be able to use from here.
