MacBook Pro 15" 2011 screen issue

Could someone please tell me what has happened to the screen on my MacBook Pro 15" 2011? I was just sat reviewing some video footage when my screen turn all static and distorted. I turned off the Mac and turned it back on I'm just getting either a blank screen with horizontal lines or a screen with the apple logo and the loading bar but it's distorned with horizontal lines, the loading bar stops three quarters of the way and just stays there. This is the most recent image of what it looks like, it's now gone pink!!

Is it the GPU that knackered or is it just the LCD that needs replacing? Please someone help!
