I am using a Mac 10.8.5 computer and my iPhoto 9.4.3 shuts down when I push play on the slide show. Can this be fixed and how?

Does the slideshow use the Places Theme?
The maps do no longer work in iPhoto 9.4.3.
Does any slideshow crash or only that particular slideshow? Create a new slideshow for testing.
Hi. I emptied iPhoto of all pictures. I imported one picture. I push slide show button at the bottom and it starts to play the slide show then shuts down and an error report comes up.
Try with a new iPhoto Library and with a different picture in this library. You can create a new iPhoto Library, if you launch iPhoto while holding down the options-key ⌥. This will bring up a library chooser dialog.
If a new slideshow in a new library does not work, test in a different user account, for example the guest user account.

If a new slideshow in a new library works, start over with that library. If the slideshow crashes also in a different user account, post your crash log.
