Nov 21, 2015 7:50 AM in response to Caralioby morrispe,Which Apple TV do you have and how is it connected. HDCP is a copy protection scheme to prevent signal intercept between source and the TV. If it detects your signal path is non HDCP compliant then content will refuse to play.

Nov 21, 2015 11:54 AM in response to Caralioby Brian Cook4,I can't play movies I rent or buy, it is requested HDCP ! Why is this appearing suddenly ?
Was this working for you before, and just stopped, or you are trying to get this setup? If this is a first time setup you need to make sure that the device(s) you are plugging the HDMI cable into support HDCP. HDCP is a commonly required extra encryption layer to prevent content from being copied. The content providers (TV/Movie studios) require Apple to use it.
