When I go to check the activity app it stays on the weekly summary and can't do anything to check my current activity.

There is a difference between:

- Viewing a notification from the Activity app: these are delivered and accessed via the notifications area (swipe down from the top of your watch face). To dismiss a notification that you have opened and are currently viewing, scroll to the bottom of it and tap on the Dismiss button.

- Opening the Activity app: either tap on the Activity rings complication on your watch face or tap on the Activity app icon on the Home Screen (which is accessed via a single press on the Digital Crown).

Tapping the word activity on the top left seems to get you back. It is a BUG. There should be a done button showing in that area but you can't see it.
