How do I update anything for my Mac OSX and Safari. Going into "Software Updates" I am told I have them all but many sites say my system is out of date to download things. Apples support is useless. They just want to sell stuff!! Thank you.Thank you.

Am told my browser is out of date but Apple says I am up to date with software. How do I improve Safari?

The last version of Safari that will run on OS X 10.6.8 is Safari version 5.1.10 and that is now over 2 years old and may present security issues. If you don't want to or cannot upgrade your MacBook to a more recent version of OS X, another option would be to install Firefox and use it instead of Safari. It is free and well regarded. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/desktop/
