Every time I reboot, I need to enter my iTunes password.

For the last couple of months, every time I reboot, I need to enter my iTunes password. I never needed to do that before. How do I fix this back to the way it used to be?

Greetings Howard Brazee,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It seems like you are being asked for the Apple ID information everytime the phone turns on. I would recommend you read this article, it may be able to help troubleshoot the issue.

If you're repeatedly asked to sign in to iCloud using two-step verification - Apple Support

  1. Tap Settings > iCloud > Sign Out.
  2. Enter your Apple ID and password to sign in again.

Cheers

I have to log on every time I reboot my Mac.

System Preferences > Login Items and enable Automatic Login.

Edit: System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Items

it isn't my iCloud account that asks for my password, it is my iTunes account.

At the top left of the iTunes window, click on your name and in the dropdown menu select Sign Out. Then restart iTunes and sign in again.
