Hi. What year and model Macbook do you have? How do you know it's completely charged? does it have a removable battery? Did you push the button down on the battery that tells the amount of charge? Does the magsafe show a light on where it connects to the Macbook?Sometime if the battery is defective it will not start unless the battery is removed. You could also have a defective dc in board or a defective on button. Do you get a startup chime?
I think it was around 2008 The light on the plug in is green. It might have a removable battery if I took the bottom off . No startup chime it is like it has a bad start button. I think its time for a new one. Thanks
Hi. ON the 2008 Macbook the battery is removable. You turn it over and turn the circle with the slot in it and it comes right out. There is also on the battery a small button that you can push and a row of lights will come on if it's charged. If the battery is shorted or dead sometimes the Macbook will not power on. When the magsafe is charging the battery the light on the magsafe will glow a yellowish red.
It sounds as if the OP is working with a late 2008 macbook aluminum unibody.
Hi Mike. Could be, but he didn't specify, so I threw that out anyway in case it wasn't.
Resetting SMC could work.
